Meet Gaurav Talekar

Gaurav Talekar is a Bremen, Germany-based designer who was born in Mumbai, India.

His work oscillates between substantial usage of colors and illustrations, creating a playful and optimistic style. It always starts with paper sketches and culminates in the digital space. His work is an exploration of different forms of shapes and emphasizes the connotations behind color.

Gaurav draws inspiration from his own cultural thread, using abundant colors to tell stories. He's passionate about typography, design, animation, and print. When he's not designing, you might find him in a ceramic studio, shaping clay.

Who I am beyond the pixels

As I step away from the digital canvas, my hands find their way to clay and soil. Unconsciously the process of shaping clay inspires me to appreciate form, texture, and flow in design—lessons I often bring back to my digital work.

Gardening, on the other hand, brings me back to the roots—quite literally. It’s my quiet rebellion against the fast pace of the online world. Observing plants grow, each leaf, allows me to slow down and notice the details that often go unseen.
